Stuff You Missed in History Class Podcast

Who was \"Black Moses\" -latest episode of \"Stuff You Missed in History Class\"

Since my discovery of the goldmine of free audio and video podcasts available on the internet I have gone through many phases of podcast listening. My recent favorite kept me apt through a 5 hour bus ride to Chicago. It is produced under the umbrella of the “How Stuff Works” organization and called “Stuff You Missed in History Class”

The program is structured in roughly 20 minute discussions of quirky historical tidbits. Common themes include “history mysteries”, conspiracy theories, hidden cities and other history off the beaten path.

Hosted by Katie Lambert and Sarah Dowdy who research the topics themselves and work off an outline for a discussion based overview of the topic at hand.

The most recent episodes: Who would have been the Nazi king?, King Porus vs. Alexander the Great, Into the Ghastly Blank with Burke and Willis, Toussaint L’Ouverture and the Haitian Revolution, History’s Greatest Battle Horses, Who was “Black Moses”?

Perfect podcast for the history nerd!
